Maximuscle Women’s quick 5-step plan to tone up

  1. Stay hydrated and eat regularly
To get a lean, toned body it’s important to maintain a daily routine of drinking 2-3 litres of water and eating 5-6 small meals (see our lifestyle nutrition page for more details).
  2. Create a calorie deficit
Toning up involves reducing body fat so you’ll need a calorie deficit (cut calories). If you’re exercising two or three times a week simply calculate your daily calorie intake by multiplying your body weight in kilograms by 22. More frequent exercisers should use our personalised calorie counter.
  3. Consume quality lean protein in each meal
Weight loss alone won’t necessarily give you the results you want. So how can you ensure your body becomes lean and toned, not thin and saggy? Getting enough protein is the key. While reducing your calories it’s vital to increase your protein intake or you’ll burn muscle tissue (tone) for energy. Extra protein, especially whey protein, preserves your muscle tissue, helps your body burn fat better and keeps you feeling fuller for longer, avoiding sugar cravings. If your daily diet includes Promax or Promax Diet you can feel confident you’re getting enough protein. Promax meal sachets or bars are also recommended if you are looking for excellent high quality nutrition to as a meal replacement.
  4. Use a fat loss supplement to support the fat loss process
For optimum results you may also want to consider adding effective weight loss supplements, such as - Thermobol, which is our most popular fat loss management product. Its unique, natural but truly effective formula is proven in research to help you burn and mobilise fat when used together with the recommended diet and exercise programme.
  5. Increase your high intensity training
If you’re serious about toning up you also need to increase your high intensity training. I recommend something called ‘Intermittent training’ which is where you train in short bursts at a higher weight or speed for 30 seconds followed by 2 minutes of a more normal intensity or pace. This has been shown in research to increase the number of calories burned both during and after exercise, because it raises the metabolic rate for longer. Click on the training programme link below to help you incorporate this excellent style of training to help you achieve your goals more quickly.

I guarantee that when you follow my nutrition and exercise guidelines you’ll get a firm, toned body that will boost your confidence whether you’re on the beach, wearing an evening dress or simply looking great in your favourite jeans.
